I got the Q Roo back on Friday complete with new cables and housings, beautiful new white cork bar tape, new chain, trued wheels, straightened derailleurs, greased headset, pulled/checked crank. Added to my bill were two new CamelBak bottles and two blinky lights - one for the front and one for the rear - for those lower-visability foggy days.
I left with a much lighter wallet...but as I say "it's cheaper than horses." And better to invest in preventative maintenance now than to have a more costly mechanical-related DNF at a race resulting from not having done this.
What amazed me was that I took the bike out for my brick workout afterward and it felt better than ever. Perfect! Kudos to Steve, Dave, Mike and all at the Just the Right Gear for restoring the bike to full awesomeness.
I still feel very privileged to ride such a fine bike. Very.
